Easy Peach Dumplings

 

 

These easy Fresh Peach Balls are made with croissants, fresh peaches, cinnamon, butter, sugar, and lime soda. You won’t believe the amazing flavor!

I am a big fan of fruit balls! If you’ve never tried fruit balls, you’re really missing out. These easy fresh peach balls are one of my favourites. I used these easy apple pies as inspiration. It may sound like a strange combination, but I promise it works! If you want a delicious peach dessert, you have to try this easy Fresh Peach Balls recipe!

You can use peeled peaches or unpeeled peaches, it’s personal preference. They soften while cooking. To properly peel peaches, add the peaches to boiling water for 10-20 seconds to loosen the skins, then place them in an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Once cool, use a paring knife and gently peel away the skin, which should peel off easily.

*ingredients

°2 canned peaches (15 ounces), drained

°2 8 ounce packages refrigerated croissant dough

°1 cup (2 sticks) butter

°2/3 cup granulated sugar

°2/3 cup brown sugar

°3 teaspoons of cinnamon

°1 1/2 cups sprite or citrus soda

°Vanilla ice cream to serve

*How to make:

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9″ x 13″ baking dish well.

Open the croissant dough and separate it into triangles.

Placing 1 or 2 peach slices (depending on size) at wide end of the dough triangle. Sprinkle with some cinnamon and roll the dough around the peaches.

Once the dough is well done, place the dumplings in the baking dish. Repeat with rest of the dough.

Melt two sticks of butter in a large bowl and mix with the white sugar, brown sugar, and the rest of the cinnamon until smooth.

Using a large spoon, pour the butter mixture over the meatballs.

Pour the Sprite around the dough, avoiding the surface, for a crispy dumpling crust.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Serve hot and garnish with vanilla ice cream.
