Maybe friends are coming over, or you just got word that your family will be there any minute? Do you wish to greet your guests with an intriguing and flavorsome snack, but you’re low on ideas? I’ve got a guaranteed solution ready for you.

The cornerstone of this recipe is the blend of classic puff pastry with top-notch ingredients, an ensemble that even the fussiest of eaters won’t be able to refuse. The vibrant filling is comprised of horseradish cream cheese, green pepper, smoked ham, red onion, garlic, and aromatic spices.

Ingredients:

For the filling:

  • 10.5 oz of cream cheese with horseradish,

Step 1. I commence our warm snack by preparing the creamy filling. To accomplish this, I combine: cream cheese, finely diced smoked ham, grated cheddar, and finely chopped vegetables – red onion and green pepper.

I also make sure to include the peeled and crushed clove of garlic, along with spices: sweet paprika, salt, and pepper. I blend the ingredients thoroughly to create an integrated mix of all the components in the bowl.

Step 2. I unroll the puff pastry onto the kitchen counter and evenly distribute the freshly prepared mix over it.

Step 3. I proceed to tightly roll the pastry with its additions into a log. After that, I slice the roll into smaller portions.

Step 4. I then move the prepared portions onto a baking tray. Each piece gets a glaze with beaten egg; this gives the snacks a lovely golden hue post-baking.

Step 5. Finally, I dust the mini pasties with sesame seeds and bake them in a preheated oven for 20 minutes. The oven should be set at a temperature of 392 degrees Fahrenheit during baking.

Step 6. I serve the freshly baked pasties garnished with parsley. And there you have it, bon appétit!
