Hershey’s Cocoa Fudge

Show up at your next holiday party or family gathering with homemade candy on hand, and everyone will be wondering how to make candy fudge from scratch! Bake yourself a casserole or double up on the recipe and learn how to make peanut butter fudge while you’re at it.

If you’re feeling extra spontaneous, add nuts, marshmallows, and other sweets for a delicious twist on classic chocolate. This easy fudge recipe should be a staple in every kitchen, no matter how much you enjoy it.

*ingredients

°3/4 cup unsweetened Hershey’s cocoa

°3 cups of sugar

°1/2 teaspoon salt

°1 1/2 cups of milk

°1/4 c butter, cut to pieces

°1 tsp of pure vanilla extract

°1/2 c chop pecans or pecans, optional

*How to make:

Line an 8-inch square baking dish or skillet with aluminum foil. Let the chips hang down from the sides. Greased tin foil with butter.

Addng cocoa, sugar, salt and milk to a saucepan. Bring to  boil on heat, stir constantly. It will take up to five minutes.

Once the mix involves a boil, keep to prepare dinner dinner with out stirring till the aggregate reaches 234 stages on a sweet thermometer or paperwork a smooth ball withinside the bloodless water.

Remove the skillet from the heat, and transfer the skillet to a sink with at least two inches of cold water. Adding butter also vanilla, but do not stir. Leave pan in cold water until mixture reaches room temperature.

Take the pot out of the cold water. Use a wooden spoon, stir to combine melted butter also vanilla. Whisk the mixture with a wooden spoon until the mixture begins to lose its luster and begins to take on a silky appearance. It may take some time. See notes under recipe.

Add nuts if you are using them and spread the fudge immediately into the prepared dish. Letting it rest for at least an hour before cutt it into pieces.

Stored in a candy box or airtight container.
